101 Things
This seems to be running rampant across the web, so I thought “why the heck not”. It was much harder than I initially thought it would be to come up with 101 things to do. I had many more than 101. I also left out many things that would have been to easy and crossed off immediately (ie donating clothes etc. which I do already).
Here is a great site with all the info on getting started and calculating dates etc: Day Zero
From the Site:
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Completed Tasks will appear with a Strike Through them.

Y’know when it’s broken down like this, it doesn’t seem as out of reach.
Why is the 3x/week gym for February only?
It is only that for February so that it can be marked as achieved, but in fact it will likely go to 3-5x a week after Feb.
One of the hardest things to do with this list was finding a way of being able to mark things that can technically go on for the whole duration of the 1001 days.
I really like your list, and when it is broken down into categories like that it makes it seem a lot easier to attain! Now, I gotta do one of my own and stick to it!
Thank You. I found the categories to be really helpful. I started out by writing down about 15 different categories and placing items underneath each. At the end I moved them together and got rid of some. Also finding things that are tangible that you can document on your blog/site when you finish them is helpful.
If you do a list, please send me a link.
Great list.
I think I have to do my one “10 things to do in 10001 days”.
I could never do 101 things like yours in 1001 days
Well heck we all have to start somewhere.
On 83 – you’d want do your strike through with <del> tag instead of text-decoration: line -through
You’d also want to use <ol> for your list instead of paragraphs <p>.
On 87 – Start here: http://johnsbeharry.com/blog XD
On 101 – It’d probably take me 1001 days to finish my own one
Nice list (or paragraphs if you look at the markup ^^) there. – Good Luck
Thank you! I redid the < *del*> tag. I will work on the list tomorrow. I appreciate your help.
I’m impressed, there’s a lot to do. I’m not sure that I’m that organized anymore, but I may give it a try.
Well hot damn it seems the restore knocked everything out after the 12th of January. Now I have to go back and cross out all of the above that have been finished and re-supply links to the accomplished task if any. Oi Vey!
