How about you? haha Well here we are already into 2012 and I am making updates. Hot damn I am on a roll.

Last year I decided that I would continue the Photo of the Day (POTD) here and

do a 1/366 on my flickr or tumblr, but then it hit me that I really didn’t feel like paying for flickr again right now and why make it harder on myself by having to post to two different sites daily. So with that in mind I decided to do the POTD & combine it with the 1/366. Sometimes the photos will be from that exact day, sometimes not …enjoy:

This photo was taken on a very cold night. I took several shots. I love neon & signs in B&W. I know it’s at an odd angle, but something about the angle appealed to me.

Wow it’s 2012 already! I for one am glad that it is finally here. I have a feeling I am not the only one who feels this way either.

I hope that everyone woke up with the same feeling I did. The one of a magical spark and a voracious appetite for happiness and change. I can actually say that I am eager (as opposed to anxious) for all that comes my way in 2012.

My gansta mannequin friend Sabrina-yo feels the same way. Just look she could hardly stay still enough for the photo.

POTD – Bitchen Rider

Saw this little gem while driving down the street. I had to go back and get a photo of it:

This skeleton is insane, he is on a bike that is rigged on rope so sometimes he is actually moving. Behind him is a pole full of animal skeleton heads.

The coolest thing about it, is I think he is the look out for the uber bitchen tree house that spans from the street all the way back to the back of the yard. It has swinging ropes, slide poles, slide, nets and a bunch of other interesting looking things

I am sure it is probably some kind of drug look out. lol But Jack Sparrow would be totally jealous of this place.

I am going to try to photograph more of it when there aren’t so many crack head looking people walking around there.

POTD – Stormy Reflection Feb 1 2011

It’s been an interesting brand of cold and rainy here. I was out wandering around the other day in between rain & drizzle and captured this reflection of the sky in water between 2 buildings.

I just found this photo really interesting. Then again I am a sucker for reflection photos!

A bit cryptic? lol

Well first off I hope everyone is great! Now on to the
what in the world…POTD. Well the last one posted was on Jan 3rd 2011, and unlike Waldo (even if you have been looking) you haven’t seen one since.

Why? You ask? Well because I’ve had the flu, then got incredibly busy and shit weather… it’s just that simple!

So this week I plan on playing catch-up with the potd’s. Haha Probably just in time for Feb to start! I really promised myself this year there would be 365 new photos of the day on this site for 2011 & I intend to keep it.

Hmmm, now all I have to decide is whether to plop all of them into one
post and over load you or post them separately? What do you think? Lol I will post them all in post so that it is nice & tidy!

Also I posted a new poll the other day. A few people have taken it. I’d
love it if you’d take the poll and then post here in the comments which
one and why you picked whichever answer.

For me, it is definitely web surfing over FB or Myspace. My reasoning is
because before all the social networking took off I made tons of friends through my site from all over the world. I got to read their blogs & see their art and explore their websites as well. While I think it’s great to social network on those sites, there is also a lot of drama, spam, people putting up phoney exteriors for whatever reason. I mean I know people personally who act totally different online. Plus a lot of the people are just firing off every single thought that pops into their head and rarely have take the initiative to respond back.

This is as close to I’ve to urban exploration for quite sometime. They are getting so fast at tearing down things to quickly, lol.

It’s raining & very windy out today, so I thought I would share with you a photo I took the other night. I did no editing on it, basically just slapped my name on it, because I really liked the way it came out. Kind of grungy with interesting colors. Reminded me of Sleepy Hollow like.

Yes, it has been a long, long time since I’ve made any attempt at posting here on Broken Doll (2010 wasn’t all that spectacular anyway). For 2011 I am going to try something new so that the site gets an update each day. Most likely it will be a Photo of the Day (POTD).

I might try switching that up as well, meaning I might try and post photos that I take on that actual date. Though since this isn’t always possible the Photo of the Day can also be from another day or one of the thousands out of my photo archives.

The other thing that I am toying with is actually blogging about what is going on in my world from time to time. I know this would be easy to do with all the other social media outlets (sheesh I have tons of blogs over at myspace), but I was thinking that it would be nice to have my world all in one space.

I might make them more separated with a different site set up, but for now they will just be as is. You can always search for tags & categories so that won’t make it so cluttered. I really want to update the look of the sight until I see it each time and decide I like the clean layout. So who knows if I will update it totally differently or just add stuff.
So how was your New Years Eve? Mine was great! I stayed in and cooked a lovely dinner. Believe me it tasted much better than it looks here. LOL I am not great with photographing food. I made Black Eyed Peas, Lemon & Mint Couscous, and Roasted Cabbage.

Long Time

First off – HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I know it has been a long time since I have done anything with this site. Well this year I have decided to take the bull by the horns and re-theme and start adding photos and other goodies back daily.

2009 was just a year of crap and I felt very disconnected from the things that used to make me feel great. Now that that is over, I am going to be a little selfish and start posting here again. You know rather than just blogging in my head. Ha!
